Project Description

Dance Across America is an ongoing performance art project exploring dance in public space as an act of joy, visibility, rebellion, protest, and celebration. Through spontaneous performances across cities, landscapes, and everyday places, I use movement to take up space, connect with the world around me, and spread a little joy wherever I go.

Dance Across America | Alabama

Alabama is home, so dancing across this state carries a different kind of meaning. From Anniston, where I live, to Jacksonville, my hometown; Birmingham, where I was born; Republic, where I spent my childhood; and Huntsville, Nauvoo, and so many places in between. These dances are a celebration of home in all its complexity—joy, identity, visibility, connection, and taking up space in the places that helped make me who I am. ❤️☀️🕊️
