I’m in love with tintypes! I had such a great time at Frank Hamrick‘s tintype workshop today. It’s been quite awhile since I was in a darkroom. I found it incredibly soothing and I enjoyed playing the part of chemist as we coated and developed plates. This was also my first time using a view camera and while it looked mighty intimidating it was actually quite simple and quite fun. Now to hunt down a view camera for myself and to start planning how to turn my basement into a darkroom.
