Another coloring/composite t-shirt assignment. This design was created from several commissioned illustrations by an artist whose name I do not recall. I colored and composited the illustrations in Photoshop, added and colored text, and fire. Tools: Photoshop
One of my first product illustrations for a client proof. A Unit Crest is a type of distinctive unit insignia made of metal typically no larger than 1 1/4" that is worn by members of the military, or ROTC as in this case. The company I work for specializes in insignia of varying kinds, including custom insignia. When an order comes in for custom insignia the process usually go along the following lines: The client describes what they would like the insignia to look like to a sales representative. Fun and challenging, this project began with what was essentially a black and white illustration of a dragon that I was tasked with coloring for a t-shirt design. I digitally painted the dragon in Photoshop before spending a ton of time following tutorials on how to work with brushes and create realistic fire and smoke in Photoshop. My first web design class project. The assignment was to create an animal-themed website for kids. I also illustrated the eagle and attempted to create an Animal Facts logo with a zebra head but the zebra part didn’t turn out very well.
My senior show project 'Liberty, Not Debt!' is finally set up. This project consists of an educational brochure, postcard, and website. The website is no longer online but here's a few pictures of my setup. This project was very research heavy. I spent almost the entire semester reviewing government budget reports and figuring out what all the terms meant. I printed way too many postcards which I gave out as take-aways at the show.
