Introduction to Photography Class
Did an introduction to photography class at the Jacksonville Public Library. Many thanks to Barbara and Christy was inviting me to present.
My first cyanotypes
Cyanotypes (sun prints) made at an alumni workshop with Dr. Henricks awhile back. I love the vibrant blue color. It was fun to create these whimsical designs. I've been wanting to play with this medium again so I just ordered a couple of packs of sun print paper, aka nature print paper. Paste Paper & Books with Larry Lou & Mary Ann
Mary Ann Sampson & Louise Lawrence Foster (Larry Lou) just wrapped up a show titled 'Books on the Shelf.' The show was held in Hammond Hall gallery and was really awesome. In addition to this show they each did a workshop and I had the pleasure of attending both. Larry Lou did a 2-day workshop on paste paper at the end of January and Mary Ann did a cased-in book binding workshop this past Saturday. Here are a few images from each.
